Tomorrow (later) is graduation. J wants me to dress up... be festive... etc. J and her sister both agree that a graduation is much more of an event than birthdays. I suppose that that is understandable. Graduations happen a handful of times. Birthdays come every year. Still, graduations aren't really a big deal to me. I don't really think it is something to make much fuss about. I guess I feel this way for two reasons. One, I never thought that it was a unique thing to celebrate. It is a memorable time period, but nothing special. You are graduating with many other people... it's not special or individual like a birthday. Two, it's nothing special. I never *doubted* that I will graduate college or highschool... or gradeschool. It was an inevitable thing... to me... and if someone does graduate, it's not really *awe* worthy. This was all in the context of J saying I should milk it for all it is worth... presents-wise. I am a bit perplexed... graduation presents? Is one suppose to get graduation presents? Hrm. I already got couple of hundred in money. I really wasn't expecting that.
I dunno.
My family isn't really big on presents. I never really *got* a present ... birthday or otherwise... from them. I never recieved a highschool graduation present (since my other friends... were graduating at the same time). Bouquets... maybe. Presents, not really. I guess it is an unexpected surprise. Eh.
So. I don't know how to milk this for it's worth. Bah. I hope I get more money!
Yeah. So dorky.
Nothing interesting otherwise.
